This is the face of the Republican party to many people. Confederate flag, guns, death, burning cross, “don’t tread on me” snake and so on —
Would you give this person a ride (i.e.: elect the GOP)?

The reason I’m in with bblackmoor here is that until you explained, I saw something very different in this cartoon. I saw a heavily tattooed man hitchhiking while wearing a RNC headband. Out where I live someone that tattooed is kinda normal. I thought it was saying that there are “weird” folks who would love to be picked up by the Republican party, but they just won’t give them a “ride”.

I think the headband indicates he’s already a Republican, not that he wants to be one.
