It’s time to face facts. Conservatives hate America. They’re in love with their dream of what they want America to be, and they claim to love America, but it’s an America that doesn’t exist.

They hate the fact that anyone can become an American.

They hate the fact that in America, you’re allowed to be of any religion or no religion at all.

They hate the fact that in America, they’re not allowed to push their religious laws about abortion or gay rights on everyone.

They hate the fact that America includes people who are different than them — different races, different religions, different ways of looking at the world.

They hate the fact that a majority of Americans disagree with them on almost every important issue.

They claim to love America while hating a majority of the people in America, and a majority of the Constitution and our laws.

They’ve done a good job of packing the courts with fellow haters, and electing fellow haters to political office, so those of us who love America are constantly having to fight them.

But the bottom line for them is that they hate what America is, which is why they constantly scream that they want to “Make America Great Again” — meaning, a white, straight, Christian, male-dominated America.

And that’s just hateful.
