Exactly on point. It’s impossible to negotiate with “someone” who wants nothing but your death. As Golda Meir said, “We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.”

Keep in mind when quoting Golda Meir, she also said “there is no such thing as palestinians”. And that same quote was used by the right to promote the war in Iraq in 2006. “We will win this war when the democrats love their country more than they hate george bush”.
Its a gross oversimplification of a very complex issue.
Its also worth mentioning that Hamas was supported and some even think created by Israel as a group that would oppose the secular Arafat-led PLO.
To say Hamas wants nothing but Israel’s death is also a gross oversimplification.
For YEARS in US politics and media, Israel has come off as the hero in this conflict, mostly because they are our ally. Its just not that simple.
