Zimmerman is this decade’s OJ

“But he was the victim this time!” the conservative apologists for George Zimmerman whine when confronted with his latest shooting incident. This ignores the fact that this was not some random isolated incident but an ongoing fight he has been having with the shooter.

So! How many shootings have you been involved in? I don’t know know about you, but my total is creeping up to zero, just like the vast majority of people. How many shootings does Zimmerman need before you think that maybe it’s him? By my count, there have been about six that we know of.

For those of you who say “Leave the guy alone” you have to realize that to many of us, Zimmerman is this decade’s OJ Simpson: A murderer who, for some unfathomable reason, got away with it and yet still goes around acting like a thug criminal.

Ironically, many conservatives who are defending Zimmerman are the same ones who attacked OJ whenever he did something wrong, despite the similarities between the two.

I mean, they’re so similar yet these people treat them so differently like it’s a simple case of black and white!

Oh, wait. Maybe that explains it.

Demand that the FDA require labeling of food containing DNA!

Once more, Frankenfoods win again. The government is refusing to label food which contains DNA.

This is serious. The Surgeon General has determined that DNA is linked to a variety of diseases in both animals and humans. In some configurations, it is a risk factor for cancer and heart disease. Even more alarming, pregnant women are at very high risk of passing on DNA to their children.

Although there have been many calls for more regulation, so far the FDA has refused to do anything about DNA in our foods. In fact, whenever presented with a call for at least labeling of such food, the FDA has replied by literally laughing in the face of those making the request.

This is an issue which concerns many Americans. One recent study found that 80% of those surveyed believed that food which contains DNA should be labeled.* Clearly, action is required.

Do not say, “Well, this doesn’t concern me.” You may be surprised at where you will find DNA when you go to your local supermarket. I swear, it’s in everything!

So be sure to take action. Write your congressman. Tell everyone you know. Do it now. Don’t waste time researching it; you read about it on the internet — isn’t that enough?

Hey, look! A thug!

That thug George Zimmerman has been involved in yet another violent shooting. The criminal can’t go a year without getting arrested or getting into some sort of illegal activity involving a gun, can he? Clearly he is just a stain on society and .. what’s that?

Oh, my bad. I forgot.

The word “thug” has been co-opted by Fox News, and is used only for black people who are violent or who are the victims of violence or protest against violence or are black (did I mention that already)?

Seriously, here’s my challenge: Find a white person Fox has called a thug. (Hey, I’d love to be proven wrong…)

Our Evil Liberal Plan is Ruined!

Curses!

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has seen through our nefarious plan.

A typical liberal

He has called out the national guard to prevent us from taking over Texas and installing our evil liberal agenda across the country!

And our plan was so perfect too! We would bring all branches of our military together to Texas under the guise of doing routine military exercises just as we have done dozens of times before, but this time they would really be there to take over Texas and install martial law! All of the top brass in the military had agreed to the action, evilly putting aside the vows they had made to the Constitution, and have done an excellent job of keeping this completely secret — in fact, to this day, they are insisting that our plan does not even exist!

Once we had taken over Texas, we would then install our plan, which is the evilest of evil! We would:

Give health care to everyone
Remove all barriers that discriminate against people
Reduce the deficit
Reform campaign finance laws
Make the tax system fairer and reduce taxes on the vast majority of Americans
Increase benefits to our veterans

Yes, our evil goals would finally be accomplished, and none would be able to stop us! Muhahahahaha!

But no — Texas Governor Abbott has seen through our plan and has thwarted us! His collection of weekend warriors will clearly stop the full-time professional largest-military-on-the-planet and keep us from accomplishing our nefarious goals!

Every single Republican prediction about Obamacare proven wrong

The Rand Corporation, a respected independent research group not known for its political views, has released its study on Obamacare and determined that it has indeed accomplished what it set out to do.

This flies in the face of every single Republican prediction about it, including ones they are still making to this day.

Has it been perfect? Oh, of course not — no one ever said it would be. But to deny it’s an improvement is to just ignore all the facts.

More people signed up for Obamacare than even Obama predicted (and certainly more than the “close to zero” the Republicans had predicted). More people are insured than ever before. The vast majority of those previously insured (80% according to Rand) did not have to change their insurance companies or doctors. It hasn’t killed jobs and in fact has created many new jobs. 85% of all employers stated that it hadn’t affected their hiring practices in the slightest. And studies show that people are satisfied with it, including 74% of all Republicans.

So to all the Republicans out there, let me say this: I understand that you plan on running against Obamacare again in 2016. Oh please don’t. I beg you. Don’t keep health care as a prominent issue in the campaign to remind everyone of what the Democrats did. I will be so unhappy. Please don’t throw us into that briar patch.
